The gift is from God.
The touch is the ministry.

It began with a mother's hands. When Etete was young, her mother Barbara massaged away her aches, and she watched herself get well quicker. That nurturing touch became a calling: certification in Therapeutic Massage and Lifestyle Education at Wildwood Lifestyle Center, NCB certification at Virginia College, allied health studies at Oakwood University, and years of work alongside physicians, chiropractors, and physical therapists.

A nurturing touch is a gifted touch. It is what my mother gave me, and it is what I give every client who walks through my door.

For more than twenty years, Etete Agbabune, LMT has carried that gift through Huntsville, in her studio inside the Huntsville Pool and Land Therapy facility on Westmill Drive. She believes the body is the temple of God, and every session is unhurried, reverent, and shaped to what yours needs.

What types of massage do you offer?

Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue, prenatal, and warm stone, plus seated chair massage for corporate events. Every session is customized to your specific concerns and preferences, and add-ons like scalp, facial, and foot work can be combined with any of them.

How long is a typical session?

Sessions typically range from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your preferences and the type of massage you choose. Shorter sessions are available for targeted treatments, and longer sessions for a more comprehensive relaxation experience.

Is massage therapy suitable for everyone?

Massage is generally safe for most people. If you have certain medical conditions or concerns, consult your healthcare provider before scheduling. Every session also begins with a brief consultation to make sure the work is safe and suited to you.

What should I wear during a session?

Undress to your comfort level. Most people choose to undress completely, but you may leave on underwear if you prefer. You are always professionally draped with sheets or towels to protect your privacy and keep you comfortable throughout.

Will I be sore afterward?

Some mild soreness or muscle tenderness after deep tissue or other therapeutic work is normal, and it typically subsides within a day or two. Staying hydrated and applying heat or ice as needed helps.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nothing at all. The studio provides everything: a comfortable massage table, clean linens, and high quality oils and lotions. If you have preferences or allergies, just mention them during your consultation.

How often should I get a massage?

It varies with your needs and goals. Some clients thrive on weekly or monthly sessions, while others book as needed for pain relief or stress management. Etete will recommend a rhythm based on your situation.

Is tipping expected?

Gratuities are appreciated but never obligatory. If you are pleased with your experience and wish to leave a tip, it is always welcomed, but entirely at your discretion.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice so another client can take the time. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee.
